The history of MOL Plc. dividends

At the end of fiscal years 1999-2002, MOL Plc paid out HUF 55 in dividend per share due to losses and regulatory risks in the gas business and the large-scale investments then being made. Following the implementation of gas business regulations in conformity with the EU, finalisation of significant MOL Group investments and improvements in the industry environment, MOL significantly increased dividend levels paid after fiscal years 2005-2006.

The dividend paid after financial year 2005 was HUF 321 per share, a 14% payout ratio. In the following year, the dividend increased still further to reach HUF 508, while for business year 2007, MOL paid out HUF 883 per share, representing a 40% dividend payment ratio. In addition, at the Annual General Meeting of that year, shareholders approved a resolution to decrease share capital by 5%.
